Died: 14th July 1917. Killed in Action Messines Ridge, Belgium.
Stanley Joseph Barrow enlisted with C Company, 33rd Battalion AIF on the 18th November
1915 and was an original member of the Battalion and left Sydney on board HMAT A74 "Marathon"
on the 4th of May 1916. Stanley was Killed in Action at MESSINES
RIDGE in Belgium on the 24th of July 1917.

Stanley was a single 22 year old Farm Labourer from Bellawa Creek, N.S.W upon enlistment. His
mother Kate was his next of kin who lived at "St Helens" Leigh Park Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex,
England. Stanley was in the care of Mr W.J Thomas Esq of Bellawa Creek, Narrabri, N.S.W.
John Barrow was deceased when Stanley enlisted in the A.I.F. He came to Australia when
he was 16 years old indending to make his home in Australia and to bring his widowed mother. After
Stanley was Killed in Action in Belgium that put an end to hs mother
moving to Australia.
