Stanley Bearly Bateman enlisted on the 10th of July 1915. He was posted to B Company 33rd Battalion AIF with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He left Sydney on board HMAT A74 "Marathon on the 4th of May 1916 and returned to Australia on the 31st of January 1918.

Stanley's British War Medal, Victory Medal and Corination Medal are the property of a Private Collector in Sydney, N.S.W.
