Benjamin enlisted with A Company 33rd Battalion AIF on the 9th February 1916 and was ann original menber of the battalion and
embarked on board HMAT A 74 "Marathon" on the 4th May 1916.
Benjamin was a single 28 year old Labourer from Hill Street, Uralla, N.S.W upon enlistment. His parents Henry and Bridget Claverie
were married in 1886 at Armidale, N.S.W. Marriage Cert:6865/1886 and had 8 children. Benjamin Claverie. born

died in 1898 at Tenterfield, N.S.W. Death Cert:7308/1898.
