Alexander enlisted with C Company 33rd Battalion AIF on the 9th November 1915 and left Sydney on board
HMAT A74 "Marathon" on the 4th of May 1916. Gassed at Villers-Bretonneux, France 7th April 1918.
Alexander was a 27 year old single farmer from Warragrah, Boggabri upon enlistment.
