Died: 8th April 1959. Moree, New South Wales, Australia. Death Cert:9282/1959.

Michael Alfred Francis enlisted with 4th Reinforcements 33rd Battalion AIF on the 29th March 1916 and embarked
from Sydney onboard HMAT A30 "Borda" on the 17th October 1916. Micheal was allocated to B Company on the 19th March 1917
at Armentieres and was Wounded in Action; 1st occassion at Messines on the 16th June 1917.
Michael was again Wounded in Action; 2nd occassion during the Broodseinde offensive on the
5th of September 1917 and again he was Wounded in Action; 3rd occassion on the 1st of April
1918 during the offensive at Villers-Bretonneux.
Michael was a single Labourer from Pallamallwa via Morre upon enlistment. His parents Alfred and Harriet Francis
werre married in 1885 at Moree, N.S.W. Marriage cert:5173/1885 and had 6 children. Bertha Francis born 1885 at Moree,
N.S.W. Birth Cert:21603/1885. Walter Francis born 1887 at Moree, N.S.W. Birth Cert:22997/1887. Elsie M Francis
