Joseph Holm enlisted with the Machine Gun Company, 36th Battalion AIF on the 6th of
January 1916 and was an original member of the Battalion and left Sydney on board HMAT A72
"Beltana" on the 13th of May 1916 and was transfered to the 33rd Battalion after the 33rd was
disbanded on the 30th of April 1918.
Returned to Australia on the .....
Informant; Sergeant: 95 John HOLM. 36th Australian. A Company. They were in
A Company. Private: 2289 John CAMINTI was a Sydney man, he had a
shop with his brother. Private: 2682 Frederick Bernard WALKER and
CAMINITI were killed by a shell behind our lines in a shell hole, and were buried on the spot at
MESSINES.
No; 30 Ambulance Train, HAVRE.
Joseph was a single 21 year old Tram Conductor from Berry, N.S.W. upon enlistment.
