INFORMATION

James Morrison enlisted with the 2nd Reinforcements 12th January 1916 and left by train for Sydney on the 3rd September 1916.

James embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A15 "Port Sydney" on the 4th September 1916. James served with C Company and was Wounded in Action at Broodseinde on the 6th of October 1917.

Family Information

James was a single 43 year old Labourer from Barraba, N.S.W. upon enlistment. His next of kin was his friend Herbert charles Hinde of "Homebush" Wallangra, N.S.W.

James is buried at the Moree Cemetery with five of his former comrades from the 33rd Battalion. They are: Private: 46 Benjamin CLAVERIE 33rd Battalion AIF.
