Died: 2nd November 1918. Died of sickness at Sea English Channel
Mother: Margretta Rowe. nee: Witherdin.
Sydney Richard Rowe enlisted with the 33rd Mattalion AIF on the 24th of November 1915 and was an original member of
the Battalion and left Sydney on board HMAT A74 "Marathon" on the 4th of May 1916. Sydney is buried at Villers-Bretonneux Cemetery,
France.

Sydney was a single 27 year old Baker from Wood Street, Hillgrove, N.S.W. upon enlistment
Charles and Margretta Rowe were married in 1892 at Hillgrove, N.S.W. Marriage Cert:4227/1892
and had 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. Sidney Richard Rowe born 1896 at Hillgrove, N.S.W.
Birth Cert:3936/1896 and died at sea in the English Channel 1918. Albert V Rowe born 1898
at Hillgrove, N.S.W. Birth Cert:31203/1898 and died in 1970 at Parramatta, N.S.W. Death Cert:
22537/1970. Mary Rowe born 1905 at Hillgrove, N.S.W. Birth Cert:23775/1905.
