INFORMATION

Fenton Victor Whitham enlisted with the 8th Reinforcements, 33rd Battalion AIF on the 24th of April 1917 when was was only 16 years of age and left Sydney on board HMAT A

Family Information

Fenton was aged only 16 when he enlisted and had his 17th Birthday on his way to England. He stated that he was an 18 year old Engineer from 569 Botany Road, Waterloo, N.S.W upon enlistment whre he lived with his parents. Fenton served with the 34A Erskinville, Senior Cadets. His Brother, Bombardier: 19156 John Charles WHITHAM served with the 7th Field Artillery Brigade.

Warrant Officer: 15227 Fenton Victor WHITHAM.

Fenton Victor Whitham served with the 2nd Embarkation Depot during world war 2 enlisting on the 20th of May 1940 and was discharged on the 1st of March 1944.
